Juan was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, South America. He played soccer all his life. At the age of 16 Juan begins playing professional soccer in a 2nd Division Club in his own town.
Juan came to California in 1979, tryout for the Los Angeles Aztecs, a team playing on the old NPSL League, made it to the 2nd Team and played for them for over 2 years. After that Juan decided to play in a different team in the Great Soccer League (Semi-Pro) until 1986. Juan coaching carrier begins in 1990 with multiple Club teams around South Pasadena and Pasadena Area (Rium F. C., Lazio F. C., Santa Anita, Barcelona, Flyers (now LAFC). In 1995, Juan was hired by South Pasadena High School to take over their Soccer Program. Today Juan is still coaching the Varsity Team with the same passion and professionalism, in addition, Juan is now coaching the BU’99 Team, the young under 9 years old team from Crown City United soccer club.
