Giuseppe’s soccer experience began at the young age of 7 year old in Italy. His dad, a professional Coach for 35 years and now a General Manager for US Palermo Soccer Club together with one of the Italian soccer legend, Toto Schillaci (Golden Shoes World Cup 1990), is the reason why soccer is a crucial part of Giuseppe’s life. Under the guidance of his father Giovanni, Giuseppe played on the Youth Development Program for a Semi-Pro team starting at the age of 10. At the age of 12 through 15 Giuseppe was part of the All Star State Team representing Sicily for a National Championship. At the age of 16 years old, Giuseppe was picked to play in the semi-pro league for his team and appeared in 30 games scoring 3 goals. At the age of 18, under the old Italian law, Giuseppe stopped his career to be part of the Military Police in Italy. The love for soccer did not stop him from continuing to play soccer while in the Army, and winning the Regional League Champion. At the age of 23, Giuseppe decides to leave the military to begin his new life with his wife Linda in California. What a culture shock from a country where Soccer is life to a new country. Giuseppe did not waste any time and in 1987 played for an Adult League in Orange County and then, together with some Italian friends, start a new team and played in the San Gabriel Valley. Five years after his two kid where born, Giovanni 1992 and Francesco 1994, Giuseppe began his Volunteer work for AYSO Reg.13 in Pasadena. Falling in love with the program and the chance to help the young generation, Giuseppe coached from BU06 to BU16 including AllStar Sectional Teams from BU10 to BU14. During his AYSO experience, Giuseppe won 3 Championships, 3 Tournaments, and got to the Section 1 Tournament for two years. During that time he obtained the Advanced Coaching License for AYSO (2005), “E” Coaching License (2006), and “D” coaching License (2007).
