Letter from the President,

Congratulations to all the Crown City United teams for a very strong regular season. The Club finished with an overall winning record of 68 W – 50 L – 22 T. We are very proud of all the Crown City United teams. Out of 11 CCU teams, 4 teams finished second in their respective division and are positioned to be promoted next season. Some of the Club’s highlights include our BU14 team finishing 2nd in the very strong Silver North bracket. Our BU14 Blue also finished 2nd in the Bronze North division. Our BU12 team competed very well all season long and finished in 2nd place in Bronze North. And not to be out done, our BU15 team placed 2nd in Bronze Delta. CCU’s only girls’ team, the GU19s, finished in 3rd place out of 12 in the competitive Silver Elite West bracket.

Special recognition goes to the BU9 and BU12 teams for finishing the season without a singled red or yellow card. We applaud these teams for their Fair Play and good sportsmanship. Both of these first year teams competed well all season long and made significant improvement from the beginning of the season through the end.

We congratulate all of our CCU teams and look forward to more exciting games ahead as teams continue to train and prepare for tournaments and State Cup.

Mark Messana

President

Fair Play Award

Ffp180x180dpi_6888_sq_medium_small

The generic concept of fair play is a fundamental part of the game of soccer and Crown City United Soccer Club. It represents the positive benefits of playing by the rules, using common sense and respecting fellow players, referees, opponents and fans.

Fair Play has a fundamental role in sport and there is a need to apply it to all sporting activities, especially children's activities. Children need strong values to grow up with, and soccer, being a team sport, makes them realize how essential discipline, respect, team spirit and fair play are for the game and for life.
