Crown City United Tryouts

CCU welcomes any interested players to attend open training sessions to tryout for new and existing teams (check the Age Matrix for the appropriate age bracket for your son or daughter).  Open tryouts for the following teams are as follows:

Boys 2008-2009 BU9 (born between 8/1/99 and 7/31/2000) Mondays from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at San Marino High School

Boys 2008-2009 BU11(born between 8/1/97 and 7/31/98) Mondays 6 pm to 7:30 pm at San Marino High School

Boys 2008-2009 BU12 (born between 8/1/96 and 7/31/97) Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 pm to 8 pm at San Marino High School

Boys 2008-2009 BU14 Bronze Delta Champions Promoted to Silver (born between 8/1/94 and 7/31/95) Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at San Marino High School

Boys 2008-2009 BU15 (born between 8/1/93 and 7/31/94) Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at San Marino High School

Boys 2008-2009 BU16 (born between 8/1/92 and 7/31/93) CVUSC Tournament Champions May 2008 Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at San Marino High School

Girls 2008-2009 GU19 (born between 8/1/89 and 7/31/90) Tuesdays from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at San Marino High School

Open Friday Night Skills Clinics:  CCU hosts skills clinics free to all boys and girls players between the ages of 9 and 18 at the San Marino High School every Friday from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.  If you cannot attend any of the specific tryout dates listed above, pleae come out to a Friday night session.  This is another opportunity for a CCU coach to watch you play.

Congratulations to the CCU BU14 team which won the Irvine Spring Classic Tournament March 29-30.  Competing in just their first tournament of the spring, the boys under 14 team finished the tournament with 3 victories and a tie and outsocred their opponents 11 to 4 overall in the process. 

Crown City United Boys U13 team captured the Bronze Delta league title by finishing with a 12-1-1 record which earned them a total of 37 points and a 1st place finish.  The team scored 54 goals and gave up only 12 over the course of the season.  Entering the second half of the season in 2nd place, the team took their game to another level by going undefeated in the 2nd half of the season and outscoring their opponents by an average of 4 goals per game.  The first place finish will earn the team a promotion to silver in CSL next year.
